Scalene & Suboccipital - SFCC

Using the pads of your 2nd and 3rd fingers, find the scalene muscles above the collar bone about 2 finger-widths away from the midline. Apply gentle pressure down and in towards the collarbone as you laterally flex your neck towards and away from your contact. You will feel these muscles elongating under your fingers. To find the suboccipital muscles, use your thumbs and place them directly under the base of the skull finding a soft and often tender spot. Apply tension upwards towards the skull as you tuck your chin and flex your neck forward.
