T-Spine AROM - SFCC

Start in a seated position with arms crossed. These movements are intended to focus on mobilizing the thoracic spine. Try to keep both glutes firm on the chair with feet planted flat on the floor. The first movement begins with flexing forward then extending backward allowing your head and eyes to follow. The second movement is lateral flexion; maintain an upright posture and bend side to side, reaching towards the ground and initiating movement from the middle spine. Alternatively, you can reach your arms overhead to achieve the same movement. The last movement is rotation. Cross one arm across to the opposite knee and the other arm onto your chest. Using your arm on the opposite knee will help you achieve increased thoracic rotation.
